Even The Love Notes Are Recycled

Recycling is important in our house and we are always trying to think of more and more ways to do our very best. So, it may come as no surprise to you, that we even recycle our love notes. I wrote the original two that have the changes, and Danny added the changes as a way to leave a love note in return. The one with no changes, well I just like that one.

After we have love-noted each other, I photograph the images to keep and recycle the paper in the appropriate receptacle.

I did recently see these little cards you could buy to give to your loved one, in the form of a pre-printed cutesy card- but that seems like a waste to me in more ways than one.

Do you recycle anything unusual in a creative way ?

  1. My husband and I exchanged loved notes through out our 32 of marriage. He past away 2 years ago. I recently found one of his love notes which I had tucked away in a book I was reading while he was getting treatment. It was such a gift. I love your blog. Thank you. Patricia

  2. Those notes are so sweet, Franny.

I don't do anything that sweet, but I did put an aluminum can from school in my plastic Ziploc bag today, so I can recycle it at home later.

  3. Our love notes end up on scrap envelopes, and generally include information on either the feeding or pooping status of the dog. We are hopeless romantics. We do have a chalk board in the kitchen and I have gotten chalk so that we will really use it. That would be a good use for it!

    1. That made me laugh, about the dog. We have similar conversations about the cat!
